Fashion isn't rubbish
Help save fashion from landfill
What is Get Trashed?
10,000 items of clothing are thrown away every 5 minutes. That’s 2 billion items of clothing wasted worldwide every year.
vInspired’s Get Trashed campaign is tackling the growing throwaway culture in the UK. Join our campaign to waste less. Help save 10,000 items of clothing from landfill.
Get Trashed launched with Car Boot Disco at Ministry of Sound on Sunday 24 November. Mixing music, fashion and fun, we’re doing our bit to save the planet. On the day we saved hundreds of items from landfill.
Get involved at home or in your local community. Help us save 10,000 items of clothing from landfill.
‘One man's trash is another man's treasure’.
Gather your mates. Swap your stuff. Get customising in the comfort of your own home.
Join our campaign. Upload a photo and the number of items you’ve saved from landfill with the hashtag #GetTrashed
1. Swap/customise with your mates
2. Run a Car Boot Disco. Save clothes.
Car Boot Disco is now over.
Why not hold your own?

Seb, aka the Urbanist has been interested in the Urban Hip Hop Culture since 1985. The name Urbanist is an abbreviation of Urban Artist.
He learnt how to spray paint using aerosols in 1989 and at this time focussed mainly on murals.
Following a series of trips to New York in the last 90s, watching graffiti artists perform in Times Square and Brooklyn, he was inspired to progress to his current art form using airbrush equipment.
The Urbanist has worked as a make up artist at the MTV EMA awards since 2006, airbrushing tattoos on Nelly Furtado and her backing group, Mika, Katy Perry and Taylor Swifts backing dancers.
He has worked for Timberland, Formula 1 Grand Prix, Red Bull, LOreal, Desperados, 2012 Olympics and his work has appeared in Vogue. From Clothes to walls, The Urbanist can airbrush on anything!
Spanglevision was formed from many glorious moments spent in green fields under blue skies and golden sunshine. Its first incarnation was Spanglebooth- a roaming fancy dress photobooth, which helped to spread smiles and sparkles throughout many parties. Some of the accessories made for the original booth endured, and inspired the creation of the label Spanglewear.
Originally a casual fancy dress/ party gear brand, Spangelwear has evolved from its festival roots, and now plays host to a wide range of pieces, some of which have been adopted as everyday wear in the city. However the label remains colourful, playful and theatrical in essence with an emphasis on bold colours and patterns and of course plenty of sequins!
The Spangle team consists of Bonny Tydeman (clothing designer and maker) and Arthur Rambo (graphic designer and illustrator). We work together from our studio in North London where all our pieces are excitedly dreamt up and lovingly hand made.
